Haul::Shopping Therapy for a Massive Migraine

Hello, and Happy almost-September! Someone tell me when the whole "Wake Me Up When September Ends" posts trend thing starts happening so I can log the freak off the internet for an entire 31 days! Not kidding, I hate those posts, but this entry is not for ranting about the lack of originality that are present in a lot of people...mostly people on the internet who like social media more than they like blogs (because they can't maintain blogs. not enough words). This is about the first haul I've done in my life...filled with things I bought just for me; no gifts, no groceries for the family, just stuff I wanted for myself and letting loose with whatever I had in my savings. My first legit HAUL!!

I had a migraine when I got out of the car this afternoon, and I had absolutely no idea why because I was fine all day. But I decided that what the heck, I'm going to walk it out in the mall and go through some shopping therapy. Guess what? It worked! So for the ladies and the fabulous guys out there, shopping really helps a migraine. Unless it's super bad and you can feel your heartbeat pounding away at your scalp, then gurl, go see a doctor.

So let's start with the amount that I spent in this entire haul: Php2,600

Compared to most people's hauls (and the last one I did, but didn't count because I bought gifts for my parents), this actually looks pretty safe. Let me just get one thing very clear: I was never a shopping kind of person until very recently (like July of this year recently), so hauling is very new to me. Shop hauling, I mean; hauling ass is something all too familiar and should only be known by me, my family and friends, and future thesis mates who are bound to abuse my love for moving around soon enough (joking, love you guys). Now, before I rant even more about senseless things, let's get on to the haul. Also, one last thing before I start, I shall not be using my own pictures again for hard disk conserving reasons. Onto the haul!!

So I went to Watson's first in Greenbelt 1, and I was looking for the perfect Felicity Smoak lipstick while my parents were getting their teeth done. I've always been looking for Felicity Smoak lipstick, I just never seem to find one that's less than Php1000, but it seems that today was my lucky day, because I stumbled upon the Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Shade 030 Fuschia.

Story and review of this will come soon enough on my reviews blog, but let me just say something here: I am so pissed that this has been discontinued for at least six months already. I was just so lucky that the store still miraculously had stock. Anyway, this cost Php575, and this was my first buy for the day. Moving on to the next store I hauled my ass into: a little something called Forever 21.  Yup, now I'm doomed.

Let's start with the lip product I bought from the store: The Love & Beauty Sparkling Lip Gloss in Wine. I just got this off a whim, and it cost Php105 which was practically a steal for me at this point because I'm beginning to abandon all my previous rules of buying stuff and just going along with whatever the hell I want.

At first I wanted to get the Red/Gold one, but it brought  back too many bad memories of Elementary and High School, so I didn't do it. I just couldn't.

Then I got a couple of hair bows. Yup, that finally happened. I bought freaking hair bows. So, I got the Twill Layered Bow Barrettes in Blush and Red, because those two are a couple of my all time favorite colors, and I personally think that they will best bring out the girly side that I am trying a little too hard for the world to see. Seriously? I ran into a couple of my classmates from High School earlier today, and they couldn't recognize me because they thought that I was a tomboy, and so I shall grow up to be a tomboy. One of them even said this line: "That's not Steph. Steph does NOT wear makeup." Ouch, dude. I thought we wazz friendzzz.

Cute, huh? Each bow cost somewhere between Php100 and Php200. I don't remember, sorry.

Next up...just two sets of hair ties.
I burn through these things a little too fast because I have really thick hair like you would not believe, so it was so nice to see that each set only cost Php65. Seriously, I love that store now; it's just so budget-friendly.

Next part of my haul? NYX. Now I'm really doomed.

SM Makati had a promo: If you have a single receipt purchase of at least Php1000, you yet Php100 off your entire purchase. Doesn't sound like much, but I still fell hook line and sinker for it, and bought five things. FIVE!!

Two Round Lipsticks: Chloe and Rose Bud.

This is Rose Bud. I don't know how, but it got a little melty...so I put it in the freezer for a few minutes. Still melty, but a more tolerable melty.

This is Chloe. Yet another candidate for the Felicity Smoak lipstick color, am I right? I see a pattern here, and my future signature lip color for at least the next few months. Each Round Lipstick cost Php260

My first Xtreme Lip Cream: Bonfire.

Looks really pretty. And something I could wear on just about any occasion with any type of outfit, so that's really cool. This one cost Php390.

My first Mega Shine Lip Gloss: Dolly Pink

Yup, another Felicity Smoak-esque lip color. This one also cost Php390. Or was it Php360? I can't remember again, sorry.

My first Butter Gloss: Cherry Pie

Another red. I love reds, what can I say? This one cost the same as the Mega Shine.

Reviews on all these lip products shall be posted on my reviews blog soon enough. Translation: When I have the time to review each one complete with a stress test I've designed myself (shower test, burger test, glass test, etc.).

Lastly on my haul were just a few notebooks from Papemelroti. Can I just say that I love how their prices went all the way down to Super Affordable level? Before, each notebook would cost me a good Php100, so I thought that when I went to the checkout counter to pay that I would need to whip out around Php200. NO.

I paid: Php67 for two notebooks! I am so going back there when I have the chance! Notebook hoarding, here I go again!

These are the designs I bought. So cute!

Anyways, that's it for the haul. For my first haul ever (and definitely not my last). I shall plan another one after the new term starts and I start saving up moolah again, so in about 6 weeks? Sound good? Alright then.
